BRINGOLI FEAST OF SAINT. MARTIN
November 11th/12th

Traditional food fair where you can eat balked bread, sausages, nuts and early wine. The real attraction tohugh is the "Bringoli", a kind of pasta which is made using water and flower alone. These noodles like pasta are still made by hand by town's housewives and are usually served with a mushroom or meat sauce.
Every year this singular event is visited by lots of tourists and citizens who literally take on Anghiari's historical downtown until late night.
A nice "folks fair" which, once a year, pays tribute to the Galleria Girolamo Magi that rediscovers its role as an urban meeting point for which had been built, over 100 years ago, by Ingenee Tuti. For additional information call: 0575/ 787023 - 749279 - 789892

Piosina - Cittą di Castello - July

Every year the Festa della Battitura is held in Piosina, a fraction of Cittą di Castello,on the third week-end of July as an initiative of theTown Board.
An appointment to explore the livelihood of a farmer especially that of grain for bread. Discover machines that were used up until not so long ago, clothing, beverages and local food.

Conveyor Belt

Water and wine are distributed to the workers to help combat the heat

As the wheat is beaten, bags are filled.
Weighing
The sacks are wieghed on the spot and normally weigh 100 chilos. Once, half went to the farmer and the other half to the land owner.
