Montauto
Eagles nest between the Tevere and the Arno.The Castle of Montauto situated on the hill and guarding the Alpe di Catenaia, dominates the entire Valtiberina with a vast view even of the artificial lake of Mantegoglio, that from the castle appears as a splendid spot of cobaltin the intense blu of the Rognosi Mountains.
Destroyed diuring the First World War, the only thing remaining is the central nucleus with its imposing cylinder tower, that, in the corner of this noble palace, is the witness to the military who made of Montauto one of its last imperial feudals.
